Unlock my face is an intimate film, an open letter about the desire to disappear. It is a
cinematographic essay shot with analog cameras, bearing a raw aesthetic inspired by post-internet
horror.
Borrowing body language from classical painting and traditionalist depictions, it taps into the
paradoxical solitude of cam girls and influencers and the images that swarm in our dystopian world,
from snuff films from the dark web to homemade videos of pseudo-supernatural apparitions of
angels, seraphim and ghosts.
In an era where we desperately seek enchantment and magic, we have a need to believe in
something that could purify or save us.
